The
Bychan Arabians open day is traditionally held the Saturday after the
British National Championships. With this year’s National Show
cancelled, around 200 people braved the continuing bad weather and made
their way high up into the Welsh hills for an afternoon of top-quality
horses, some horse-orientated conversation and, of course, the customary
Welsh hospitality of the Jones family – Sue, Emrys, Ryan, Rod, Kimberley
and Rhiannon
… There were just two stallions left to be presented and Bychan had
saved the best until last and even the sun decided to put in an
appearance for the last few minutes. Master Design came down the hill
first, delighted to see so many people there just for him and he even
came into the marquee to say hello to a few familiar faces. This
four-year-old stallion has a wealth of titles under his belt and, at the
time of writing, Master Design has been supreme at every show this year
