... Now it was time for the big boys! The first class was the
four-to-six-year-old stallions and were there some big names entered.
First place was awarded to FS Ronaldo (Kubinec x Helaliya) for his
lessees Paul and Janet Curry and his owner Julie Spinks. Ronnie, as he
is known at home, gained 93.3 points and an incredible 97 points out of
100 from one judge. He was shown to perfection by Paul Curry and I
believe this is only Paul’s second time in the show-ring at a major show
…
Next up were the seven-to-ten-year-old stallions, who
powered into the ring and gave us the highest points of the show. The
runaway winner was the former Triple Crown winner Nijem Ibn Eternity
(Eternity Ibn Navarrone x Naravna) for his owner HRH Prince Khaled bin
Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz. Scoring 94.2 points, which included six 20s, his
handler allowed this stallion to show and express himself to the crowds.
He was only 0.5 points off scoring a perfect 100 for type. In second
place was Om El Bahreyn (CG Balih El Jamaal x Om El Benedict) for his
owner Caroline Reeves and third place went to the lovely Jandeh Al Naif
(Ansata Shalim x Ansata Nile Gypsy) for his owner/breeders, Al Naif
